Art and Reading
Art – Art kits include drawing books and colouring material for free hand drawing and colouring. It should be an activity of expression rather than instruction.
Reading – Books have been curated grade wise and reading level wise in consultation with Pratham Books whom we source the books from.
Art and Reading kits are given to each primary schoolchild so they can use them at school and at home.
Sports
We put together a list of both indoor and outdoor games for primary schools and high schools in consultation with the school’s PE teachers. High schools students are also given sports uniforms which helps build a sense of camaraderie especially when they play in interschool events.
Menstrual Hygiene
All high school girls receive a menstrual hygiene kit containing underwear, handwashing material, a pouch to carry pads to school, a health pamphlet and 2 packs of sanitary pads (14 pads). The AP Government distributes free pads to the girls which they collect at school and use throughout the year.
We also conduct menstrual hygiene awareness sessions and online consultation sessions with qualified professionals for physical and mental health related concerns
Need-based support
Every year, a part of our budget is allocated to the needs of the schools as shared by the school officials. This has included giving projectors, computers, cabinets, helping with school painting, vidya volunteer payment support, etc.
